The lightening shoots through the mists to reveal the large courtyard, filled with many top featured vendors displaying the season specials. It's nearly that time of year again, and the perfect opportunity to start thinking of costumes and sink into the exciting darkness of the season. Where better to begin than SL's 'Halloween' Sim? It's just begun hosting the 'Dead Cool Fashion Event' from September 30th - October 31st. Vinyl Cafe, House Of London, Halloween Boutique, Valentina E. and House Of Rfyre are featured, to name but a few, with some real gems on offer, and many available only here for a limited time. I myself just couldn't resist Valentia E.'s 'Damned Dress' in mesh to get into the spirit of all things spooky....

What do you look for in the people you surround yourself with?
Whether in business or leisure, who you associate with can be a factor in your reputation and how far you will
go in life. This concept can apply to our Second Life existence as well.
I like to think that we grow and mold into who we are by who we associate with. We connect and network with others because of common interests and goals. I am all about
networking and creating relationships with likeminded individuals. Because I want to involve the community and provide a variety of news through the eyes of residents.
Through the years, I have met and worked with countless people that have come to the virtual world pursuing their dreams.
Often times the outcome is favorable and they become my friends and other times I felt like my sandcastle was constantly being kicked over by people with hidden agenda and motives. That type of negative energy can be detrimental to trying to accomplish goal.Ridding yourself of that type of energy and taking the time to understanding the virtual world culture is the best thing to do. That is why I choose to surrounding myself with positive and creative people
Please meet IrishGent Resident, Owner of Irish Island Estates a real world professional with a concept to apply what he knows to the Second Life community. In his short time in Second Life he has accomplished a lot and has formed relationships with many of the elite here
in Second Life.

RECOMMENDED LISTENING - Great music and fantastic lyrics. Ellie Goulding fans will be ecstatic! Anyone who appreciates good music should give this album a listen; it’s quite exceptional.
This is a long awaited return from Ellie Goulding; with soaring vocals, rich ambient music, almost ethereal at times but with quirky moments and frequent pulsing beats. A must buy for Ellie fans and anyone who enjoys a semi-chilled alternative sound. It almost fits within the electronic dance genre at times and there are a bunch of remixes lurking around too.
Ellie said she chose the title because, "Halcyon is like a bird that basically during the winter, it would lay its eggs by the sea and bring calm to the stormy waters and a lot of my songs on this record are about the ocean and water...".

I was dancing in a ballroom with my friend Windwalker discussing the upcoming Halloween Holiday. I mentioned to him that I wanted to interview a vampire for the Second Life Enquirer. He told me he was a friend to a vampire clan and they were having a dance party that night. Of course we went...
The party was in the main hall of the clan's castle. Windwalker introduced me to the clan members and to the handsome King Of the Bella Morte Clan, King Jisper. I watched him, with his thick flowing dark hair and piercing blue eyes filled with intelligence and charm, being the perfect host.
I asked him for an interview and King Jisper agreed.

If you missed it then you really missed something special. The SLE Relaunch Party was an amazing experience. The mood was right, the people who attended were all so happy to be there and be part of such an astronomical event. To tp in, walk the red carpet, and see a sea of people wearing all white was what it must feel like to attend a Puff Daddy all white event. It felt so good to see such a large turnout and I could not think of a better person who deserved that huge show of love from the public other than Lanai Jarrico. She has been in SL for many years and has done nothing but support Wilder PR and so many other businesses.

The Linden Gods gave back to the community tonight with an outpouring of positive reaction from the residents that know and support Enzo Champagne!
Recently a NC had been circulating about an avatar that was wrongfully denied access to Second Life after he was savagely hacked. The outcry for justice spread across the grid and a community came together to help.
In an interesting turn of event, while discussion the ordeal with a friend of Enzo, an announcement was made through the Irish Island Estates that Enzo Champagne was relieved of his Account Restriction and right into the open arms of the community.
Welcome Back Enzo Champagne!

I want to start off my saying WOW WHAT A PARTY!
It was truly a spectacular event. I must say as we reach each milestone, the parties get better. Everywhere I looked, everyone looked fabulous dressed like bright white stars speckling the dancefloor. When I had a moment to catch my breath and look around, I saw my friends. The energy that filled the venue could only be described as pure love for me and my creation. It was truly a moment where I felt, I have truly accomplished something, but it wasn’t for the help of each and everyone that has touched my life and been involved in SLE in some capacity. If it wasn’t for you, the reader, my team of dedicated professionals and most importantly people that I call my friends., this would not be possible.
Before my speech I was a hot mess behind the scenes, crying in IM to my SL therapist., because I worried my speech wouldn’t be perfect. I wasn’t sure what to say, but I knew I wanted to thank everyone on the SLE Team without forgetting anyone. There are so many that are a piece of the SLE puzzle, the speech would have been a lot longer. I’m not a big fan of public speaking. I prefer to spill my thoughts and emotion out in text.
I appreciate the advice to imagine everyone naked and wearing Johnnie Ireland’s classic ducky slippers. The combination worked. Thank you!
For those of you who missed the party and last night’s speech, here it is. xoxoxo

The 4th October 2012 marked the 7th Anniversary of the SL Enquirer, making it one of the longest running publications is Second Life.
The reason for its continued success is Lanai Jarrico. Granted the SLE is her baby, but she has doggedly persisted in ensuring that it continues through thick and thin. Lanai as many of you already know is one of the world's and that is any world, special people. She genuinely wants to impart news out into the grid for the betterment of all who read it. Lanai is has a soft spot for imparting the various experiences, good or bad, of those who make up the community that is Second Life.
Lanai threw a party to end all parties in celebration of this amazing milestone and at the same time unveiled the new look of the SLE and the new home for the SLE media centre on the Irish Estates. Keeping up with the current trend for clean lines and no fuss this is our new look.

“......We’re going to make Second Life available on Steam in the next month or so. You’ll still be able to access Second Life just as you can today; there won’t be any change to that. But, the more than 40 million people who use Steam will also be able to get Second Life as easily as they can get games like Portal. We’ll make an announcement on the blog when Second Life is actually available on Steam....”
Well, the whispers have finally become assured confirmations across the grid. Steam is coming! Though the exact date is not set, it is finally official, and we can move on from asking ‘Is it going to happen...?’,and begin taking a closer look at the now imminent future portal into SL.

Even the most recent of SL residents can’t escape the reality we label ‘drama’ – But what is it, and why is it there at all? Perhaps most importantly, can we really avoid it?
Second Life is saturated with this phenomenon of ‘drama’,and at times it seems impossible to avoid, even without any personal involvement at all! Confused? I used to be. I can remember very clearly bobbing through a welcome area as a noob, all dressed in my very best (and only) pink dotty dress, my hair tied neatly back into a pony tail, fresh pale skin blinding people in the sunlight. The virtual world was opening up before me, and there it was. BAM. A couple were shouting in Local Chat, and everyone around me slowly began taking sides. That was the moment I began to hobble swiftly and uncomfortably down the road I still try to walk today – The one that leads away from the problem. Has this always worked? In a word, no. But why?

ProFashion ProEmpowerment!
Great Teams are just like a real family — they may not necessarily agree all of the time, but they know they can depend upon one another in a crisis.
ProFashion Productions presented an exercise last week to encourage models and staff to be dedicated and loyal to each other beyond all other considerations; especially when under attack.
Empowering ourselves is the strongest defense against griefers. When we are prepared and stand together, the griefer loses control. When we remove the griefers capability to catch us off guard they become weak.

How can I be nicer?
It's not that Meredith Bryan didn't have friends—it's that she wasn't, well, friendly. Until she tore down the fortress she'd built around herself, and the world smiled back.
By Meredith Bryan
My mother was robbed at gunpoint in our home when she was pregnant with my sister. As a toddler, I found the event less scarring than she did (her water broke from the stress). Still, she spent the rest of my childhood instilling in me a fear of strangers and an appreciation of big dogs and high-tech alarm systems.
Three decades later, I've taken her lessons to heart. I live in New York City, a place teeming with strangers. And I never speak to them. Not to the old man playing his cello on the subway platform, or the NYU students scouring the sale rack alongside me at the Gap—hell, not even to the tired moms pushing baby strollers on my block, who seem particularly disinclined to commit violence. With friends, I'm solicitous (after an initial thaw, at least). Toward anyone I don't know, I'm dismissive at best, rude at worst. Why are they taking so long to order their coffee?

When asked to
think of something decidedly Italian, one might be tempted to answer ‘Pizza’ or
pasta or even the Catholic Church.
If asked to reel off the most Italian things ‘I’
can think of the first thing would be a plate of meatballs..the second would be
Antonio Galloway, perhaps because they
are not entirely dissimilar for they are
both hearty, heartwarming and
throroughly satisfying to the senses. Antonio might be an American, but the heart of
an Italian beats firmly in his breast. It is that dolce vita attitude, that
love of life that comes through with each of his performances, the infectious
laugh in the gaps between songs and the telling of a story from his childhood.,
you just KNOW he’s having a good time
behind the mic. You just know that here is Pavarotti singing Show tunes.
