I literally walked in the door from a 5 1/2 hour trip from Cape Cod, Massachusetts back to Pennsylvania. Before I even got home, my phone kept going off and here is what was being reported.

I Dropped my bags at the door, hopped in the shower and put on my pajamas. With everyone all settled in bed,  I grabbed my laptop because I wanted to share the news and touch on a topic that many choose not to discuss because it is uncomfortable to even think about; Child abuse and sexual molestation.

Before I get all deep, the good news is former Penn State’s defensive coordinator, Jerry Sandusky was just found guilty of 45 out of 48 counts of child sexual molestation and faces up to 442 years in prison. This is only one of the many predators still out there, but it is a great victory for the victims. Tonight they can begin to heal knowing he cannot hurt another child because justice has been served.

Most of of us know that life is no walk in the park and that challenges will inevitably be thrown across our path as we take this journey.  But there is no justification in the whole wide world for discrimination in any form whatsoever, yet discrimination in one form or another has been part of society throughout time.  I am South African and white at that and have lived through being made an example of by the world because of the government policies that were in place.  I am glad to say that those policies are no longer there.  But actually the rest of the world had no right to ostracize South Africa, how does that saying go, ' people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...'  What it has done for us though is give us the most liberal and all encompassing constitution.

We have all encountered Mesh in one way or another haven't we? 

If you don't have a Mesh compatible viewer it can be quite hilarious but frustrating at the same time, then there are the sizing issues if you buy a Mesh outfit, suddenly size raises its ugly head in SL, and here's me thinking that would be one issue we could leave in the real world, but apparently not. The fashion designers in partricular have had a tough time getting to grips with Mesh, but it has been a god send to other content creators.

Being a newbie can be overwhelming and downright awkward with embarrassing clothing and hair malfunctions while bumping into every object and other avatars in a sloppy stumble through Second Life. It truly is a hideous sight to observe. Especially when dealing with newbies that ransack freebie prop shops and are strapped heavily with an arsenal of griefer gadgets. My first experience with such a Noob griefer did not end very pleasantly for either of us. His naked avatar along with his chicken on a stick prop came to me asking for a job. Needless to say, he was not hired. He was instead ejected and banned from the media center and I have been left emotionally scarred for SLife by the whole ordeal ever since.

We have the choice to squander our time role playing, getting down to business or a little bit of both. In the years I have spent observing the Second Life community the business sector has grown dramatically. Back in 2005, avatars were still a bit wet behind the ears in business. Many premium members produced freebies and corner shops in countless malls or used rental ad boards at different in-world venues. You can still see that today but the difference is, those that are successful, utilize more media sources, social networks and services that offer real perks like a boost in customer traffic and revenues.

Avatars are banking up Lindens and cashing them out at an increasing rate using e-commerce portals like Podex Exchange. Many already know how to be profitable using this company and are excited about the new visa card . Others are just realizing how the virtual world works with new technology and services. Podex Exchange keeps up with how avatars do business in Second Life and provides the customer service people deserve.
