The 2023 Winter Showcase & Art Show will take place December 8 to 15, 2023 and is in

support of Team Diabetes of Second Life! This event will feature shopping, an art show, live

music, and a hunt! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The

American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise

awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life. According to the

World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million

deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.

SCARE ME SILLY EVENT OCTOBER 15 TO 22, 2021

The 6th Annual Scare Me Silly Event, will take place October 15 to 22, 2021. This event is the first fundraising event for the 2021-2022 official Team Diabetes fundraising season!  Scare Me Silly will feature shopping, a special hunt, art, raffles, giveaways, live music, tricks, and treats!

Team Diabetes of Second Life to Return for a Second Season

We are pleased to announce the second season of Team Diabetes of Second Life! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life.

According to the World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.

Team Diabetes of Second Life was founded by Jessii2009 Warrhol and Johannes1977 Resident and will continue functioning in the form of an advisory board, with a coordinator leading the TEam Diabetes of Second Life effort. The 2016 Team Diabetes of Second Life Coordinator is Johannes1977 Resident and the 2016 Team Diabetes of Second Life Advisory Board members are: Jessii2009 Warrhol, Dawnbeam Dreamscape, Eleseren Brianna, Veruca Tammas, Sandie Loxingly, Rob Fenwitch, and Earth Nirvana. Saiyge Lotus is a special advisor to the advisory board.

The official Team Diabetes of Second Life's season will take place from October 2016 to January 2016, with the following events scheduled to take place:

An official fundraising toolkit will be available to the Second Life Public on August 1, 2016 at the organization’s office in the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life.

ART in HATS and HATS in ART is back for another year of fun, whimsy, artistic expression and entertainment! There are contests open to the public with prizes, a variety of entertainment, more art and, of course, the most exciting display of hats in Second Life collectively in one spot! Art and fashion meet in hats. Good hats are art to wear and subsequently many artists love to create fantastic hats. Fashion designers often show an explosion of creativity in hats. Hats turn to fashion with the styling.

The coordinator of Art in Hats 2015 is Emma Portilo and this year ART in HATS - HATS in ART has selected Team Diabetes of Second Life (http://teamdiabetesofsl.org/), an official and authorized team of the American Diabetes Association, as a charitable beneficiary of the event. A portion of proceeds will go to the charity and we will be holding a unique hat auction at the end of the event with exclusive designs!
