The 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Across Second Life season will begin on September 1, 2014 and will continue until October 31, 2014.

The theme for the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Across Second Life is "Seasons of Pink". Making Strides Against  Breast Cancer Across Second Life is part of the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life of Second Life.

I was helping a friend in Second Life with mesh clothing. This particular friend had been a slow adapter to mesh and was purchasing her very first mesh outfit.

The 2014 Relay For Life of Second Life Commitee will hold it's 2014 Honor Ball for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers, on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 1pm to 3pm slt. The location of this very special event is the Relay d' Alliez sim.

The 2014 Honor Ball will feature music and entertainment by T1 Radio's Trader1 Whiplash.  A special broadcast of the T1 Radio broadcast program,  Relay Wrap, will take place immediately following the Honor Ball.

History of Mother's Day (May 11th): How is it observed in SL?

Today is that special day where we honor our mother’s or mum’s in my case. So how did this special day come about? The concept of Mother’s Day in the States is attributed to two different women: Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis. In 1870 Julia Ward Howe called for a special day to encourage pacifism and disarmament among women. This day was held in Boston for about 10 years. In 1907, Anna Jarvis held a private Mother’s Day celebration in memory of her mother in West Virginia. Based on this event, Anna would organize “Mother’s Day Work Clubs” to improve the stability of the area where she lived. Anna would soon launch a state wide, then a nationwide campaign to expand this concept.

Fishing in Second Life-Jessi2009 Warrol Reporting…

There are many things to do in Second Life and apparently one of those things is fishing. Yes fishing, complete with rods, fishing line, boats, and of course fish! 

A really good friend of mine, John, is a fisher in Second Life and he took the time to explain to me the various types of fishing systems from both a fisher and land owner standpoint.

We were standing in the 7Seas Area on Tribute City, which definitely did not smell “fishy”.  As John explained, “Fishing in Second Life is very similar to real life fishing, without having to actually clean the fish. There are many systems available. 7Seas, Neo Realms, Fish Hunt, Magic Fishing, and Star Fishing are the most well-known fishing systems. There is also Evo-Fishing, which I really don’t know much about”.

“Each fishing systems have their own ups and downs”, John continued. “I have fished them all. My personal favorite is Fish Hunt, but I really enjoy hosting 7Seas and Neo-Realms”. We teleported down to the main area of Tribute City, which is fishing central. I noticed buoys, vendors, and what looked like bait barrels.

So you log into Second Life from a long day at real life work and are flooded with ims about things you supposedly said or did.

Most of the information being sent to you is only half truths or simply lies. How can you avoid being the talk of the town in Second Life? This article will show you how.

The first rule is not to participate in gossip at all. This can be hard to do in Second Life. You may be privy to hot gossip about friends or enemies. The thing to do is not to spread this gossip around or if you feel the need to tell someone, only tell people you can trust. Not spreading gossip gives you more credibility, so when gossip about you is being passed around, people will more than likely not believe it if you are reputable.

Traveling in the Virtual World- Jessii Warrhol-Giano Reporting…

One of the great things about Second Life is that you can travel an visit many replicas of real life places and all from the comfort of your home! In fact you can plan entire vacations and holidays on your magical teleporting journeys. I took such a journey today and my first stop was New York City. 

While there are many sims which have a New York City theme, the one which I teleported in, featured the Upper West Side and SoHo districts of New York City.

Tribute City and L’Amour  Management are pleased to announce Tribute City Fashion Week! The event will show off the best spring and summer fashions from some of your favorite designers in Second Life! The theme for the show is “April Showers Bring May Flowers”.

This show will feature and showcase designers who will present their modern, spring, and summer creations and accessories. In addition to the show, other festivities will include both a kick off and closing event and other entertainment.

Designers currently scheduled to present at the show include Allure, Evolve, Faboo, Flowerdreams, K-Code, Poposity, Shey, Syl’s, and Xen’s Hats.

Designers will be in Tribute City, from May 31, 2013 to June 9, 2013, to present their modern, spring, and summer creations.

PURPOSE:  The March Military Expo will feature a Merchants fair, where we are inviting all military, weapons, aviation, and smiliar merchants of SL to set up a small merchant tent in the WW2 Memorial park area for 5 days.  You will be able to bring your creations and services to a wide variety of people in SL!.  This event is in SL Destinations as a featured SL Destinations event!  To bring even larger crowds, we will hold all of Amelia's events that week near the military expo.  So guests will have contests, musics, live DJs, as well as other contests.  We will promote the event as much as possible, giving you and your business free advertising.
