Last week Elon Musk claimed that humans will become obsolete unless we merge our intelligence with machine intelligence. Without doing that we cannot hope to survive. Is he right? Or is he crazy?
Would you choose to become a cyborg? How would merging with silicon intelligence affect us? Will there be two different human species? Will primitive humans continue to exist at all? What will it mean to be human in 200 years time?
Are people, at least young people, somehow being prepared for merging with AI? After all we rely more and more on interacting with computers. What changes has that made in human brains?
