For the last decade or so we have been told to save energy.  What we need is some device that will store energy so that none of it is lost.  And the answer is: Batteries!

Come to GeekSpeak on Saturday at noon SLT and explore with us how batteries will save the planet and how they will save the way we work and live.  Oil and wars caused by oil could disappear, as could nuclear power, simply because they are not needed any more.

There are batteries in many shapes and forms, some of which you will never have heard of.  Let’s find out what batteries are possible.  Our future is electric and this week we want to prove it to you.  Join us and bring all your batteries!

GeekSpeak subject for Saturday 24th July at noon SLT: Will Batteries save the world?

Since the advent of energy sources, like solar and wind, that are not always available the trend is to place batteries in an electricity system.  The energy is stored when it is plentiful and used when it is needed.  For some reason, no one thought about doing that before.

Let’s discuss what the battery revolution will do for us. Will it save the planet?  Will it lead humanity to an era of abundance of energy?  In 15 years maybe we will not know what to do with all the surplus energy.

The secret sauce is batteries.  Not just the ones we all know about but also lakes, towers with concrete blocks, molten salt, and many more.

Come and talk about our energy future!  Bring your kids, they are the ones who will live in the new world.

GeekSpeak: Batteries! What are they good for? Join the discussion on Saturday August 22nd at 12pm SLT

A total revolution revolving around batteries will be coming soon. We have seen the advent of electric cars and bikes, although the electric lawn mower is still a pipe dream.  But when the battery revolution arrives it will cause an infrastructure inversion where the existing power grid structure will be disrupted.  This battery revolution will give back power to the people!
