Together As One (TAO)

Our one and ONLY aim is to raise money for children's Charities through mainly a Live music festival! When you come to our events, you will notice there is only ONE Tip Jar that is rezzed by the Charities themselves! A point we stress is that we have no part of the money that comes and goes through our festivals, we are simply the organization that puts the event together trying to raise the money for the children! Up until now, we have done 4 Together As One (TAO) events. The 1st event was in Christmas 2020, where we raised a total of 520,112 Lindens in a 2 day weekend, supporting Feed a Smile.

The 2nd event was in Easter 2021, we raised 930,000 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting KIKA. The 3rd Event was in Summer 2021, we raised 1,266,000 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting Feed a Smile. The 4th Event was Halloween 2021, we raised 1,262,641 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting KiKA At each TAO event, there is also 'The Market' that hosts many stores from a lot of Creators here in SL. Please have a look around when you can. This time we have a total of 20 stores if you are interested in going Christmas Shopping! Another feature we provide in order to raise money for our cause are Raffles! At each event, you will find the Raffles Area with a lot of interesting things to Bid on. So make sure you get in, have a look, and put your bids in! One of our newest concepts and traditions we have at TAO events are the "Meet & Greet" hourly Events, that occur in the 2 weeks Prior to the Festival that the land is open to the public for shopping, bidding, and Games! At the Meet & Greet, performers from the current TAO Festival will be singing and answering questions to their fans, from their fans. adding a more 'down to earth' and personalized relationship between performer and fan! This Event has a BIG Treasure hunt, that will give a great prize at the end! We have named it "The 12 days of Christmas Hunt" and you can begin at the Christmas Box located at the front of the stage! Finally, Don't forget to Grab your Free TAO Teddy also located at the front of the Stage! Adding to your collection of TAO Teddies! :) Let's raise some money for 'Feed a Smile' Together! Join us on Sunday, October 3rd beginning at 3pm SLT for a special charity event as we bring you the official Together As One Halloween 2021 Music Festival afterparty, sponsored by Terry's Place, featuring five full hours of live music to help support KIKA, an established children's cancer society located in the Netherlands.

We start things off right after Winter leaves the stage at 3pm SLT, with a special live performance from Kris Composer! Kris brings his unique and expressive voice to Second Life and his music promises to thrill with his smooth vocals, effervescent personality, and thoughtful lyrics.

Kris started piano lessons at 8 and wrote his first song at around 12 years old. He joined a band in the ’90s but gave that up to go back to college. After college, real-life interfered so he cut his hair and got a “real job” in the tech industry. His love of music never left him and he has discovered that Second Life is an amazing outlet for the music that still lives in his heart.

His extensive song list of covers includes a myriad of genres and artists as well as a sprinkling of his original tunes. Kris classifies his music as “mainstream contemporary, pop-rock” and credits Phil Collins for greatly influencing his musical style. His original writings come from real-life experiences and he wants “people to make their own stories and have their own feelings from my songs”.

You will experience a wide array of emotions as Kris Composer pours himself into every song and takes you on an eclectic journey of unforgettable music.

Next up at 4pm SLT, the afterparty continues in support of this important cause with a live performance from Lyric Wolfsong!

JD or Lyric is a songwriter, singer, musician who has been a troubadour around SL since 2007 on and off. This talented musician delivers his music with his own distinct style and sound.

You will understand why Lyric continues to be a favorite of many. With a large repertoire of songs, from originals to favorite covers, this is a show to not miss. Come experience the sound of the wolf! Everything from Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Originals, and much more!

Following Lyric at 5pm SLT, we welcome one of Terry's very first live performers at their venue, Neomaximus Brandenburg, to the main stage!

At a Neo show, you never know what to expect! His eclectic style encompasses pop, rock and blues, Indie, Classic rock, grunge, and metal genres. For the best live music experience, Neo sings live and plays his guitar with background accompaniment tracks to bring a full and vibrant sound for his audience's enjoyment.

Neo has played in many bands since coming of age and continues to perform in real life. He has had formal training and continues to explore the threshold of playing other instruments as well. Neo’s musical tastes range from Tchaikovsky to Rage Against the Machine, from Coldplay to Men at Work.

Up next at 6pm SLT, get ready for more of our official TAO afterparty as we proudly welcome the amazing Donn Devore, a music producer, audio engineer, multi-instrumental musician, singer, composer, and Second Life performer since 2007.

Donn performs a mix of original rock and electronic music. Combining influences from rock, trance, and techno genres, Donn has developed a delicious blend of sounds from guitar-based love songs to high-energy dance music to experimental electronic pieces. He demonstrates a broad range of musical talent singing with a rich, soulful voice while jamming on guitar and keyboards. His live shows are exciting to watch with colorful visuals and particle effects creating a fully immersive live music experience while inviting audience interaction.

As a trained musician and audio engineer Donn has worked with thousands of musicians on hundreds of studio projects, including film and game soundtracks in his 20+ year career. He toured the U.S. in 2013 and has shared his music with people of Second Life since 2007. He continues to explore new musical realms with old instruments and new technologies, elevating the quality of entertainment for audiences in SL

Donn also performs a wide range of cover songs from bands such as Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, Muse, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, and more.

A native of Houston, Texas, he is currently enjoying real life in Beaverton, Oregon.

Last but certainly not least, at 7pm SLT Terry's is proud to welcome AcousticEnergy Nitely, as he performs LIVE to help us close out the show!!

AcousticEnergy breathes life into original ballads and pop songs that inspire intimacy. His blend of comedic and poetic entertainment leaves you with memorable moments and an uplifted heart. AE writes in perspective to real-life relationships, he composes songs that help rediscover your purpose and enlighten you. Maybe you've never heard his songs before, but your soul has sung them a thousand times.

AE's "cafe style" performances and flirtatious soul leave you relaxed yet entertained as he covers songs from Eric Clapton to Norah Jones; Gun’s N Roses to John Mayer as well as ORIGINALS that will leave you BREATHLESS!!

You'll notice there are no tip jars for any of our fantastic performers during this event, as all donations for the Together As One 2021 Halloween Music Festival go towards KIKA, in support of the important work they do in children's cancer research and treatment.
