KRYSANIA AND TOXIE PERFORM LIVE @ SPEAKEASY THIS WEEK! Thursday, January 9th @7pm SLT

In addition to being known for featuring some of the best talent in SL, the Speakeasy continues to be a venue of choice for new and somewhat new live SL performers to showcase their talent.   On Thursday, January 9, 2014, Krysania Eramos and TOXIE will perform live at the Speakeasy. 

Krysania Eramos and her guitar will take the stage at 7 PM SLT.  She is an acoustic musician and singer who writes her own music and plays indie/alternative covers in her spare time. She's also very fond of 90's and 2000's music! Krysania has been playing the guitar for over 10 years now and just started playing Second Life (March 2013). Through much strong will, determination, and great friends, she has made her way up through the SL music community and has been having a blast playing for people all over the grid.

OPEN MIC AUDITIONS KICK-OFF SL’S GOT TALENT CONTEST- September 5, 2013 7pm SLT

On Thursday, September 5, 2013, starting at 7 PM SLT, the SL's GOT TALENT CONTEST officially kicks off with the OPEN MIC Auditions.  There will be a number of known and unknown Second Life performers gathering on the Wynchester Hope City sim to show off their stuff.  You do not want to miss the first opportunity to hear the amazing variety of talent from SL residents.  Additional auditions will be held on Saturday, September 7^th, 3-4 PM SLT and 7-9 PM SLT.

SL’s GOT TALENT (SLGT) Contest was created and organized by Jackie Lefko, the owner of the HARLEM SPEAKEASY located on the Wynchester Hope City sim.  After debuting several new SL performers at her venue, Jackie’s brain started churning and Voila – the birth of SLGT.  She felt a contest would be a great opportunity for those looking for a unique opportunity to not only showcase their talent but to also engage in a personal challenge.  Other business owners agreed as they lined up to participate as Sponsors, Judges and Prize Contributors as follows:

HOLLAND GUITARIST BONO FOUROUX & AMERICAN VOCIALIST JACKIE LEFKO SHARE ONE STAGE

The HARLEM SPEAKEASY is a relaxing, comfy hangout spot where you can come to hear the owner, Jackie Lefko, perform and other performers.  On Thursday, July 25, 2013, Jackie Lefko (USA) and Bono Fouroux (Amsterdam-Holland) are on same stage (dual streaming live).  That's right!  The Lefko sultry vocal stylings blended with Bono's masterful guitar fingering -- a unique musical experience. 

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

JACKIE LEFKO.  As a native New Yorker, Jackie started singing at a young age in her church in Brooklyn. Jackie evolved into a superb Jazz and Blues singer. RL experience includes sharing the stage with Concord Records Jazz recording artist Karrin Allyson in Chicago and performing in various unique venues throughout the United States and on the African continent. Now, Jackie brings her sultry vocal stylings to Second Life.

BONO FOUROUX. Guitar player, composer from Amsterdam - Holland. Playing from his youth till now guitars in different originals bands. Also did just a few cover bands next to a theater band. Favorite guitars are Gibson and Fender,  He also builds his own or customize them. Always trying to make different characters of sounds. Mostly play solid body guitars.

VMS News: The Harlem Speakeasy: Jazz With Class- Switchmutt Reporting...

Established in 2012 in Virtual Harlem, the Harlem Speakeasy had represented its name and lived up to expectations quite well. Unfortunately, the server had run into problems with costs and the owner; Jackie Lefko, wisely set the club up with a skybox soon after as a temporary measure. Ms. Lefko, as of March 2013, settled the popular club in the “Wynchester Hope Too” Sim and has made quite a name for itself among the cultured masses of visual and musical artists on SL.

      Upon entering the Harlem Speakeasy, I gathered my initial responses mentally, I had a sense of warmth, vibrancy, and expressiveness. The club was quite full of patrons that had much to say about the place, all were having a good time, not one complaint in sight, and on top of all of that, there was a live DJ by the name of Urban King. When I tried to reach him for an interview, he did not reply, but his music choices spoke for themselves. He kept soulful rhythms pulsing onward through the night as I sat and listened over by the beautiful wood-finish bar. The selection of drinks is very wide, and most are on the house with courtesy of the owner, there are many places to lounge, and even more space to dance and socialize. The club’s minimalistic, well-constructed interior gave it a jazz-hall feel mixed with a blues bar and the color highlights of a R&B establishment. While taking in all of these astounding decorations and colors, I then became engrossed into the music.
