It may be the middle of summer but it’s time to think about Snow and Ice Skating, Decorating Houses, Holiday Store Fronts and that ‘right jolly old elf’ himself! The Christmas Expo Mission: To Fight Childhood Cancer

Together with the American Cancer Society and our partners at Linden Lab, the expo will be supporting Childhood Cancer initiatives of The Society. All proceeds of the Expo will be directed to support research and palliative efforts to help children with cancer.

2017 SL Christmas Expo Opens December 1st Shopping, Entertainment & More in support of the Relay For Life of Second Life

The 7^th Annual SL Christmas Expo opens Friday December 1^stand will run through Sunday, December 10^th .  More than 70 merchants spread out over 4 regions will offer shopping for Fashion, Home & Garden,Breedables and more.  Forty-five live performances, DJ& Live Radio shows, Dance Troupes and Tribute shows will provide nearly 70 hours of entertainment to shoppers.  Gotyas, raffles and contests will round out this year’s offerings at SL’s Premier Holiday shopping event.

The theme is “HOLIDAY WINDOWS” and merchants will be decorating their shoppe windows as part of the Holiday Window Contest.  There will be sleigh rides, ice skating, a Christmas tree lot and a Snowman building contest.

The Expo, which is sponsored by Athena Couture, BattlebeastBreedables, Botanica, Ever An’ Angel, T1Radio and WHIP Radio supports the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life of Second Life and will conclude with the 8^th Annual Holidays of Hope Gala Ball, Sunday December 10^th 2-7pm .

Registration for the 2017 Second Life Christmas Expo is open!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The 7th annual Second Life Christmas Expo and Winter Breedables Fair will run December 1 to 10, 2017 and is held in support of the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL).

The expo has a variety of merchant and non merchant sponsorships available, as well as a variety of advertising options.  Breedable creators also have the opportunity to have a complimentary shop and an additional display area at the Expo. 

This year our theme is Holiday Windows with an over all Retro feel to the streets (It's A Wonderful Life, Miracle On 34th Street). Merchants have the option to participate in our Holiday Windows Display by decorating their shop windows.  Visitors to the Expo will vote for their favorites.  

NEW for 2017 is our  Christmas Collaborator Collection. A special area has been designed for invitation only SL designers which will showcase  New and Exclusive Limited Edition creations only for sale only at the Expo.  

As always, we are excited to include the Winter Breedables Fair in the Expo and we are so pleased to have the Breedables merchants back for the holidays again. The highly anticipated One Of A Kind Breedables Auction is back this year as well.  Breedable Creators have given generously of their time and of their hearts to create these special OOAK  Breedables.  And of course, Breedable Auction Houses are welcome and encouraged to one or more of their Auctions at the Expo. 

We will once again be providing recorded promotional on air advertisements prior to and during the Expo. Premiere Event Sponsor Merchants will be mentioned in the recorded promotions as part of their Expo sponsorship again this year. These generic radio promotions are available for all Radio Stations, Clubs and DJ's across Second Life to use to help us promote the Expo. Premiere Event Sponsor Merchants will also receive a copy to distribute as they like.

This year’s event is in the style of a Germanic Holiday Winter Village and spans eight sims! Visitors and guests will be able to shop for holiday gifts from over 100 Second Life creators and designers, take photographs with Santa, participate in Naughty Or Nice, and Hunt for the Bells! In addition to the mentioned events, 12 fun and packed full days of entertainment awaits!

The 2014 Winter Beedables Fair will feature a special One of a Kind Breedables Auction and Limited Edition Breedables for sale and in support of Relay For Life of Second Life!

At both the 2014 SL Christmas Expo & Winter Breedables Fair, one can attend many events:

Best of Second Life (BOSL) Magazine Cover Live Auction – this special live auction will take place on December 6, 2014 at 1pm slt. You will have a chance to bid and win a chance to have yourself or brand on the cover of Best of Second Life’s March 2015 magazine cover! 100% of the proceeds will go to Relay For Life of Second Life.

Best of Second Life (BOSL) Miss Virtual World Gowns Raffles – these special raffles will feature the one of a kind gowns, which are worn by the current Miss Virtual World contestants.
