Attention Fashionistas, Shoppers, and Champions for Good Causes! Fashion For Life is now open!- Silky Soulstar Reporting...

  The event opened at 6am Saturday June 7^th and runs through midnight on June 20^th to campaign and raise funds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

We really like that Fashion For Life inspires in-world collaboration and socialization for a great cause.  The FFL event truly is an example of the power SL can apply to our Real Lives.

Fashion For Life is one of the ‘mega-events’ associated with the popular Relay For Life, and is the only fashion-inspired SL event officially tied to RFL.  There are ten beautifully crafted sims to explore that feature more than 150 designers of clothing, accessories and poses.  All items are exclusive to the Fashion For Life event through June 20^th.  You can’t get these items anywhere else!

Every item on sale at the Fashion For Life event is also a donation item.  Designers and creators donate anywhere between 15 – 100% of all sales to benefit the American Cancer Society. 

The ten sims at the Fashion For Life event were built by talented builders challenged to follow a ‘wanderlust’ theme relating to transportation. Each sim builder also is offering one souvenir to be found and played within a fun passport game.  Shoppers donate 50L to acquire a souvenir, then attach it to a passport hud.  All ten souvenirs can then be collectively redeemed for over a dozen Fashion For Life gifts.  There will also be runway shows, live music, and DJ hosted events at the Fashion For Life venues through June 20^th.

One of the items you can get exclusively at the Fashion For Life event is this cute little number from Prism Haute Couture.  We just love, love, love designer Journey McLaglen’s fashion love for color and her original textures; which is what drove us toward featuring the Blair – a clean dress that splashes in teal with a cute inspiration of animal print. 

The Blair dress is actually a rare Gotya item, featuring a prominent and broad waist sash.  The lined fabric texture comes off as delightfully dimensional, and the pleats below the waist are flattering in the most feminine sense!  We also love how you can accessorize Blair with matching retro sunglasses, and an airy scarf that both come with the dress right out of the box!
