Down and dirty Texas style with NormReynolds Genesis - Lacy Muircastle reporting ....

Let’s get down and dirty Texas style …. with NormReynolds Genesis.  Ladies for those of you who have not had the opportunity to hear this man sing, you are sadly missing out and if I were you I would make a plan to get to one of his performances asap!!  He has a voice that will melt your knickers.

Sadly for womankind he is taken by the gorgeous and equally musically talented Jade, so you will just have to perve him from the audience.

I caught up with this gorgeous man with the amazing voice after a performance at PJ’s Hangout (talking of gorgeous men, the owner of PJ’s - PJotter Oskar isn’t half bad either, but as usual all the good men are taken.)

Norm came to be in Second Life on the recommendation of a friend of his, at the time he was performing on another site called Paltalk.

Norm started singing with his dad at the age of about 5.  He has played in bands in RL since his early 20's some country, some rock, and the blues. and has played from Chicago to Austin Texas.  “And loved every minute of it” he interjected.  His father played old country so that is some of what Norm sings and plays and he has recently started doing some old standards to broaden his horizons.

Norms says that playing music it is like going to a world in which no one else can affect him.  “You have to feel the music deep in your heart and it has to say something to you as you sing it or play it” he explained.  He loves meeting people and seeing them in the crowd, he mentioned that there is nothing like being on stage and seeing the crowd when they approve of what he is doing and loving the music and really getting into it.
He has written some of his own music, “I write when the mood strikes me. I do most of my writing when something tragic has happened in my life or someone close to me,  that is when I do my best writing” he said emotionally.

Norms’ role models in the music world are the likes of Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Bonamasa, there are others but these are the main ones

I asked him if he could go back in time, what he would do differently. He replied “I would have listened to my music teacher in school and followed my dream and gone to music school to fine tune the art of music.”
If you are interested in booking Norm pop in here and give him a listen - Trax (138,137,27) There are three songs in the booth and he also has 3 songs with links to YouTube.
