The Faster Pussycat fashion began with
dramatic designs and flare. The stage was set perfectly to show off the new
Autumn/Winter collection and the venue was packed.
The collection was for both men and women.
Each piece was accessorized carefully.
The men’s outfit were dramatic. A few pieces
caught my eye which I felt were nicely designed and created. One of the pieces
I liked was a dark grey ¾ length pants this was teamed up with a black
round neck shirt and a tartan jacket which came in various colors but the two
I found striking where the red and Yellow. The jacket had big gold button which
made the jacket go from just a run of the mill tartan jacket to a kind of
military style. Accessories were a top hat which was trimmed with the color of
the jacket the model was wearing.
The collection had a 60s feel with a Gothic
touch with the females collection. A flowing chiffon skirt with a metallic
bodice flowed down the runway as the model walked slowly towards us. With a
spiked head gear the metallic in the bodice shined as the model twirled. A
truly futuristic creation.
Black tutu kind of dress was next to grace
the run way with. With its bodice made half leather at the bottom sculpted
under the breast line forming a kind of tight belt affect then a satin material
was used to create the rest of the long sleeve bodice. The model wore a black
head gear which had rabbit ears which over the top part of her face like a mask.
Encrusted at the sides looked like crystals doted on each side of the ear. This
was a very theatrical piece.
A model wearing a 60s inspired dress walked
down the runway wearing a canary colored wig strutted down in a short grey
dress trimmed with black down the middle and black sleeves. Very 60s and so in
this season.
The show was a success marinating different
styles classic and new. Which did not compromise the
designs in any shape or form.
Faster Pussycat is a collection you will
definitely see off the runway and on your streets this Autumn/winter.
Avenue Fashion week ends today, October 5th.
