Lanai’s Famous Homemade Slap Someone’s Granny Again Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Disclaimer: Again, no actual grannies have been
hurt in the making of this recipe. Lanai does not really endorse slapping a granny,
so don’t do it!
Ingredients
- · 5 medium red potatoes
- · ½ cup milk
- · ¾ cup butter
- · 1 cup shredded cheddar
- · 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- · ¼ teaspoon pepper
Clean, peel and cube
potatoes and place in a pot with water about 1 inch above potatoes. Sprinkle in
a little garlic powder and let boil for about 25 minutes or until tender.
In a bowl mix milk, butter, garlic powder, pepper and
cheese. When potatoes are tender and drained, pour them into the mixture. Use a
cake beater to combine everything or do it the old fashioned way using a fork
and elbow grease. (lol) Add salt to taste.
To top off this totally awesome meal, throw in a can of corn
or another favorite vegetable. If you decide on corn I totally recommend
simmering it in a small saucepan with a 3 tablespoons of butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper.
Enjoy and again refrain from slapping somebody.
This is hilarious! Lanai you are crazy but I am so going to try this recipe! lolz
