Orchids: Imagine you were given 50k Lindens, to do as you please;
what would you do with it?

there is a person I love a lot and hold very close to my heart in need of RL
surgery. This was why I initially decided to give business in SL a try. I would send it to that
person in RL.

Orchids: What do you do with 50 K?
Tiana: Good question, one that I don't really have an answer just off
the top of my head... I guess for me Celtic Corsets business is a
hobby rather than for profit. The main focus of my SL time is the dance events
at Roissy; where I spend a lot of time trying to make them fun and different
each week.
Orchids: It is a difficult question off the bat for a person not
into money making...What would be dear to you?
Tiana: Most likely I would invest it in the Celtic Corsets, with a
vision to expand the range I have.

Orchids: Who is Escie (escapee.sohl)?
Escie: Hated by most, absolutely adored by some. Ahhhh the life of a
bitch!
Orchids: What do you think 50k would best be used as?
Escie: Seeing how 50,000 lindens is the equivalent of approximately 150
Euro's or 200 Dollars and you have to hunt for lindens in SL cause you cannot
afford to tap into your real life funds. I would transfer it back to real life
to help pay towards paying the bills or even use it to go out to a theme-park,
make a day of it with the family.
I find it particularly
funny is that the hunters, who do not have the means real life to pump lindens
into SL, actually choose for such an amount to play around with in Second Life.
You would think it could be better spent.
I think it's been known
that gamers, not only those in Second Life, have different priorities in
general. As long as they can keep playing at hearts content they'll greedily
take the 50K offered and spend it like crazy in-world. This greed is where ADS
Company taps into very wisely. Luring those in with the wrong set of
priorities.
Even in this economy
where there is a game to be played, 50K in lindens, seems to be peanuts in the
gamers eye. Not many of them seem to have e the understanding of its value.
Orchids: Honesty!A trait uncommon in SL or RL. I definitely admire

Asadora : I am a logophile, so things people say are quite important to
me. At the end of the day, words are all we have to express ourselves, so they
are best to be used carefully.
Asadora): How much 50K lindens is
these days?
Orchids Zenovka: 210 dollars... 165 Euros...
Asadora: that's a good in real life sum of money. I’d donate it to an
animal charity...an actual charity and not one that just 'claims' to be. I
donate monthly to two animal charities in RL
This is a side note, but
I'm just gonna say it: When there are charities in SL that advertise a specific
cause, how come there isn't a way to tell if that charity in real life is
advertising that donations can also be done in SL. I've never seen that ever.

Obviously, I mean taking the lindens and turning them into 'real' currency
I'm thinking as to what
else I would do with 50K.... replace all the very old freebie places, but I
think that would take more than 50K - ha-ha

Asadora: Nope - I'm perfectly happy with what I have and I'm not one for
ever being greedy. I remember back in the day when SL was a community, smaller
yes, but we were all together... So, I'm still in the mindset of the 'good ole
days' when there was more of a community feel grid-wise
Orchids: It’s easy for people to think for themselves at first but
you thought of others ...
Asadora: Aww shucks, you've made me blush now! I'm a hippie! I like the
love... don't like the hate - ha-ha.

Pameola: If I had L$50k, I would probably rent a piece of land for a year
or so;
set up a shop there and
start selling what I create, maybe build the shop as well
Orchids Zenovka: Each dream squashed by linden lab…by making land
pay for?
Pameola: I am experimenting and testing what can be done in the Exhibition
and Sale offered for free, and plan to see if I can have a complete building on
one of the bigger plots to display my creations. By offering the free use of
some lands to creator, a sim owner encourages those without Lindens to display
their creations, and create traffic for themselves and for the creator... a
win-win situation.

Jussy: I'd probably repay everyone who's ever done a kindness to
me...which would still leave me in debt but I'd have made a good dent.

have met some fantastic people in SL

Jussy: I might make sure my SL sister has everything she needs for her
SL kids, help my big brother out with his club and still continue to do free
pics for newbs. I already have
everything I need...but I might invest in paying tier to tide me for a few months
while I teach myself blender
Orchids Zenovka: You sure have definite goals. What about
yourself?
Jussy: hehehe... I'm still very happy in SL no matter what little or how
much I have. I have good friends and a
hobby I enjoy.
Orchids: Anything else you would like to say?...
Jussy: I think having blended the teen grid with
the adult grid was a bad move a couple years ago, it causes a lot of problems
especially age play which has really become a bigger issue and it's much harder
to control. There are so many of us
adults who enjoy being adults without having to deal with the unsavory side. I would contribute to the Lindens to bring it
back.
