Spotlight on Angeldust: A Rare Gem -sarahelisebeth Brenham Reporting...

There are many stores in Second Life, but how often do you find one that sells everything a woman needs to look her best? Let me introduce you to Angeldust.

Angeldust is owned by Amoche Noel and started its humble beginnings in 2011. The idea for the store was birthed from Ms. Noel’s passion for beauty and fashion with products to make our avatars look gorgeous, without burning a hole in your wallet. Wanting a way for women to be able to purchase things that will make them feel beautiful and not have to take out a second mortgage on their home in doing so, Ms. Noel decided to dedicate herself in learning how to design footwear, accessories, clothes and skins. The journey in creating things for female characters was not easy for Ms. Noel, but like most things in life, practice is all that is needed to achieve your goals. Knowing this, Ms. Noel did not give up on her dream and made enough merchandise to open her long awaited shop.

Being that Ms. Noel’s love for items that enhance a woman’s pulchritude at affordable prices was the reason for the creation of her store, she made the determination to construct her shop after the one place where she, herself, buys stuff to Improve her physical appearance in the real world: Victoria’s Secret.

Replicating a brand that is well received in the offline realm on a virtual program is a tall order to fill. For some, the pursuit of this idea proves successful, for others, it does not. In Angeldust’s case, the theme of originality seems to work best for this two year old store.

Understanding that girls have varied tastes, Ms. Noel set to make a wide array of goods. She even went so far as to include two skin burners in a collection of skins that only comes in one tone, so for ladies that like the makeup choices on those skins, they can purchase them feeling assured that they can be adjusted to fit their desired ethnicity. Unfortunately, Ms. Noel has no plans to add burners in her future skin complications. However, if there is enough demand for it, maybe she could be persuaded to.

I have been in Second Life for years. I have seen businesses open and close. The companies that stand the test of time, I believe are the ones that change with the trends and needs of its customers. We now live in a world where economies in many countries are falling. The debts in several continents have impacted various online programs.

Establishments are created in a period of time where they need to do everything they can to attract and keep clients. Angeldust has defied the odds and stayed afloat for years. It is my hope that this superette continues to provide her customers with what they desire and stays around for a long time.
