How would you describe yourself in 5 words?Funny, sweet, caring, smart, and curious
What brought you to Second Life and how has it impacted you as a person? My friends came to SL and told me it was fun so I tried it. It made me learn to tolerate people I normally wouldn’t and how to be more cooperative with others. Also it taught me about people of different countries and even states.
How often do you visit Second Life and what kinds of activities to you engage in?I’m here everyday! Lol. And my activities depend on who I am around.
What are some of the topics you like to write about?I like to write about sims and people mostly. I think it’s very interesting and I love to do it.
How many friends do you currently have on your friends list? Do you participate in any of their events?
I don’t know tbh and yes I am with my friends when they invite me places.
Any favorite Sl musicians you'd recommend checking out?I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. And not really I don’t really see live shows much.
Are you partnered or have ever been partnered in Second Life?Well yeah but it’s with my rl best friend so I don’t think that counts.
Where do you shop for your avatar?Tons of different places, Apple May, Envious, etc.
How does a virtual friendship/relationship differ from a real one, besides the long distance and physical restraints a virtual world has.
Well I’m a lot closer with most of my rl friends and they know way more about me, but in SL people know one or two things about my personal life and not my whole life story. Also it’s sometimes easier to talk to people online because they can’t judge you like someone you really know could.
Any advice about online dating you want to share? Not really. Just only do what you are comfortable with. If you aren’t comfortable with something don’t do it. If the person really cared for you then they would understand.
Have you ever met someone from Second Life, in the real world? If so, how was that experience? Would you recommend it to others?Nope.
What are your most memorable moments in Second Life? The feeling of confusion when I first started. LOL that was too funny. But I’ve made great friends to help me out.
Who has inspired you the most?
This could be a rl/sl family member, friend, or celebrity.
My older cousin. She worked hard and could take care of herself even though her mother was never supportive of her.
What is your favorite quote?IDK... I guess one is “Live like you’re dying.” Because you never know when you will die so live life to the fullest while you can.
Second Life has many different creative outlets to explore, what are the kinds of things you have been involved in or created yourself?Um. Well I’ve been in media and currently am trying event planning. I think that is fun :)
What are your thoughts on how Second Life is governed, have you ever ran across a situation where you ever met or had to call on the Lindens for assistance? If you could change some things about Second Life, what would they be?
I think SL is governed pretty good at least where I am. No I’ve never get to meet or call on the Lindens. I would change the beginning of SL. I think they should make starter avi’s a little better or just give them an AO. And I think you should get “Starter landmarks” for places for clothes, jobs, homes, etc to really help out.
With your experience in virtual world media and the Second Life community, what do you see for the future of this type of platform? What other media sources have you been involved in?
I think a lot of SL will start looking at media pretty soon. If enough people already read it I think others will be encouraged to join. I’ve been in LEVITY Magazine and Secondnighters Magazine.
