Nigel Palmer 2 PM - 3 PM
Yes, this level of talent has finally come into Second Life!! Nigel is an accomplished musician in RL and has brought his love for music into SL. He is a music composer, vocalist, musician and producer of incredible music. For him, music is his life and it shows when you listen to this brilliant performer. His music will grab you and never let go. His favorite artists include Coldplay, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Elton John & Michael Jackson. Don't be surprised if Nigel sings a few romantic Spanish songs too.
Lauren Weyland and Friends 3 PM - 4 PM
Lauren Weyland is a stand-up live comedy routine on the peculiarities and quirks of living in SecondLife and Firstlife!
Lauren was born on Sandbox Island on October 1, 2006 into a relatively modest family. Poorly educated and half naked she was turned out into the world, unable to learn the craft of building or scripting, Lauren instead made watercress sandwiches for those that could build and entertained them with her jokes. Since then she has moved on and performed at dozens of Clubs, Corporate Events, and enumerable Benefits, written and performed in Theater Plays, and maintains a regular show night at her club "Lauren's Place" on Cookie Island.
Louis Volare 4 PM - 5 PM SLT
Has been said that the music of Louis Volare (aka Louis Landon) is melodic, optimistic, & peaceful. Further described as meditative & mellow, & sacrifices no musical rigor to achieve those ends. Ultimately, there is no doubt that Louis's music lifts the listener up to where the body can relax & the spirit can soar.
Louis too is a gifted vocal talent. Throughout the later 1990s & into the early 2000s, he developed a number of concert programs & recordings paying homage to the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Frank Sinatra, songs of the 1940s, and Broadway show tunes.
Having studied at the Berklee College of Music, practicing 8 hours a day & jamming every night with a variety of musicians around Boston, not only did Louis contribute his own unique compositions & improvisations, he met & began performing with the legendary saxophonist John Payne.
In the late 1970s, he landed the gig as keyboard player for the John Hall Band. Landon's association playing with Hall included performances with Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Crosby, Stills, & Nash (to name just a few) in the No Nukes concerts in Madison Square Garden in 1979 before hundreds of thousands of people.
Further, Louis, while working with Ross Enterprises , directed "Christmas at Rockefeller Center" & other TV specials that starred Maureen McGovern & Tony Bennett. During the summer months for four years, Louis toured playing classical music for ballet legend, Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Alex Mayas 5 PM - 6 PM
Born and raised in rural North Carolina, Alex Mays grew up listening to his father play guitar and sing. At the age of ten, Alex's father gave him an acoustic guitar and started teaching him to play. He began learning his father's favorites (old time rock 'n' roll and country).
By the age of 15, Alex began trying his hand at songwriting and singing. At the age of 20, he moved from his rural upbringing to Kalamazoo, Michigan and began playing the Kalamazoo circuit. In Kalamazoo, Alex branched out into blues, jazz, and bluegrass.
Alex Mays has been writing music for over 15 years with styles ranging from Rock, Blues, Southern Rock and Jazz. Alex could never settle for one kind of music. Keeping music true and from the heart is his belief.
Alex toured in England with a blues band {Eddie Blue and the Ravens} in 2008. In 2009, Alex took a tour of his own in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with his band {Alex Mays and the Dynamic Masterpiece.
Bob Corrigible 6 PM - 7 PM
Bob is a well known DJ throughout Second Life playing in some of the most prestigeous places including BluJnzBluz Blues Bar, Bogart's Jazz Club, and Franks Elite Jazz Club, He plays a variety of music including Latin Jazz, Blues, and R&
