May 2011 saw the entry of another fiction. The only thing different about it was that this book was a test subject for some marketing experiments. The results were staggering. This was done with minimal to no cost using skills easily obtained from online tutorials. This book is a must have tool for today’s indie authors to promote their work to a massive audience for a minimal cost.
Angela Yuriko Smith aka Dandilyon Jinx is not only an author but a new friend I had the opportunity to meet in Second Life. Earlier this year she approached me about her book End of Mae. I interviewed her and posted it for SLE readers, unbeknownst to me, she had another project plan in her pocket that would prove to be very instrumental in helping give people an inside view at what it is like to take advantage of little to no cost marketing in a virtual world. After reading the book, that has not officially launched in the United states yet, I felt compelled to give you all the information you need to get your copy online!
In Angela's new book, "No Money Marketing: All you need is Like", she walks us through her process and gives us useful ideas on how one should look at their own work and ways to get it out there.
I was honored to see the acknowledgments section and be mentioned as one of the many that helped her along the way, including an interview midway through the book. This time, the tables were turned on me when she asked questions to find out how SLE came about. It is very true what she writes in the very first chapter titled "Make it your Baby".
Just as I have learned long ago with The SL Enquirer, if you learn to appreciate what you created you will see how your baby grows , you really must be protective and proud of what you do and share it with others.
All of us in Second Life have the same opportunity to create, share and discover things about ourselves along the way, spreading our creations globally and in the most inexpensive way using this virtual world and the many social networks that reach far and beyond our local reality.
