SL ARTS & LITERATURE: The Play Buffet Feast Continues . . .

Several weeks ago I wrote about the Avatar Repertory Theater’s Virtual Short Play Buffet.  Avatar Repertory Theater received 113 short plays to their call for submissions for ten minute plays. At A.R.T.’s Plays Around, Fridays at 5 pm PDT, 30 of the plays are being read from March 25-May 13. The audience votes their favorites each week. The votes of the A.R.T. troupe will be included in the final tally for the 5-6 plays to be fully produced during July.  You can view a list of the plays and see some  of the tally of votes at http://www.avatarrepertorytheater.org/node/70

 I have to admit, I was so excited by the idea, and the first session that I saw that I swore I would see them all and invited my readers to do the same.  Then my real world job stepped in, and suddenly very long and complicated work days cropped up on a succession of Fridays, thwarting my intentions.  But help comes in the form of Geo Meeks who has been recording each of the sessions since March.  Certainly, you can view the plays in Second Life at the Archon Theater on Cookie sim every Friday at 5pm PDT.  OR you can catch up with the readings you missed which are archived to be streamed on the internet.  http://www.livestream.com/thevirtualshortplaybuffet

While researching, writing and posting this follow up, I have listened to three plays which I missed from previous weeks.  You can too!  It is not too late to taste of the dramatic buffet being served up at A.R.T.  Then make a bee line for the three remaining sessions between now and May 13^th.
