A lot of people get all hung up at Holiday time, because they don't know what to get that Special Someone for a Christmas present.
Readers of this column won't have that problem, however... because they'll know that the 2011 Puckettes calendar is now available.
The Puckettes, who are the GOHA hockey cheerleaders, put out a calendar every year. The proceeds go to several Puckette-style ventures.
A Puckette calendar is 12 months of hockey cheerleader goodness. Each month is theme-driven, with one of the Puckettes representing each 30-31 days.
Yo' favorite little sportswriter, who has been a Puckette for two years, is prominently featured in the 2011 Puckettes calendar. I'm Miss November, I'm dressed as a Wampanoag (my Pilgrim dress looked pretty much exactly like how you'd dress a French maid), posed in front of the Mayflower, and I'll be smiling down at whoever you have over on Turkey Day.
Last year, I was Miss January. I shared the honor with my friend Marissa Petrovic. We posed nude with the Stanley Cup, on the ice of a big arena. I logged off, nude. When I re-rezzed, it was on the ice during a hockey game... in front of a full arena. I rez clothing slowly in crowds, too.
Even though I was a relatively new Puckette, many people have come up to me since then and told me that I was their favorite Puckette.
