SPORTS & LEISURE- Dance Ballet Academy Stacey Cardalines Reporting...

At 5 feet tall, Ballerina Stacey can still kick Kobe Bryant in the face.
You wouldn't have to hang out with me that long to figure out that I'm sort of a jock.
I'm the only one of my girlfriends who owns a hockey jersey. I'm the only person I've met here (outside of the people I met at the particular sims) who has watched a football practice. I'd have watched a football game as well, but I was in jail after a fistfight.
A good psychiatrist could probably convince me that I have some unresolved love-me-Daddy issues from my childhood, but I don't have time for that kind of sh*t. I just play a lot of golf, and maintain a level of fashion that makes Butch jokes not really work on me.
However, like any girl, I have a great deal of admiration for those who are Graceful. I'm not graceful, and say "Ooops" as much as "Hello" when I try to navigate a busy nightclub. It carries over into real life, as I was an awful waitress. You were getting your martini shaken, not stirred.
Of course, someone who plays on the computer as much as I do is bound to develop a little bit of manual dexterity, and a girl can use that skill to become a paragon of femininity. That's where this article is headed today.
There are certain girls who wield a bit more clout than others when people look at the Fairer Sex as a whole. Princesses, cheerleaders, diva-type singers, head nurses, Best Actresses and Supporting Aactresses, Miss (Your State Here), etc... if you're 8 year old daughter wants to grow up to be one, you know what I'm talking about.
I always wanted to be the prima ballerina of the Moscow Ballet. The fact that I wasn't Russian mattered very little to me when I was 8 years old. I had gone to see The Nutcracker in Boston, and 8 year old Stacey could very easily envision herself floating across the stage and taking a bow from the standing-ovation-giving audience.
Of course, prima ballerinas have certain things going for them that Stacey didn't/doesn't. We've mentioned that Stacey isn't Slavic, or even close to Slavic. She also maxed out as 5 feet tall with stubby legs, and that's another debit. Finally, for reasons good and bad, Stacey couldn't do the 14 hours of daily training ballerinas are sort of obligated to perform.
It's all good. The world needs plucky lil' sports reporters, just like it needs prima ballerinas. You have to get in where you fit in these days, and, well, here we are. A girl can dream however, no?
Fortunately for the Diva in me, SL has a Dance Ballet Academy, located right here... http://slurl.com/secondlife/Amorissa/6/72/60
I was down there today, taking pictures and trying out the poseballs. It's a lot like another one of my favorite places- Zaw's Gymnastics- in that you can show up, not really have to study that hard, and still play ballerina for a while.
If you want more than that, they have people who will guide you through the process. I never got to see it in action, but there appears to be a 10 girl lineup of poseballs that I assume act out The Waltz Of The Flowers or something. I tend to visit these sims during down times, where guys are less likely to be there (I get hit on wherever I go, pretty much constantly, to the point where it disturbs my journalism), so I miss out on the Holistic aspects of some sims.
I liked this one, however. I'd wholly recommend trucking over to Giselle's island and visiting the Dance Ballet Academy. Bring the BF with you for a little pas de deux.
